Dr Kate Pressland

Kate leads the management and core delivery work of CEIA. She specialises in farmer-centred innovation and engaging producers in R&D, and has extensive experience in programme design and evaluation.

 

Kate is currently working closely with the Innovation and R&D Team at Defra and Innovate UK on the development of the Farming Innovation Programme, and on the Agricultural Universities Council agriculture strategy (read more on our Projects page).

 

She previously led the Innovative Farmers programme, overseeing its development and advocacy to funders and policymakers. She has over 17 years experience working with farmers and growers and a PhD in agricultural ecology.
